Louis Vuitton: office in a box

With space at a premium, homeworkers need to make use of every last inch. Most big names such as IKEA have some kind of office arrangement which you can shut away in a cabinet, but if you have plenty of money to spare, why not simply commission Louis Vuitton to make your own?
Pictured is a solar powered office-in-a-box (or maybe more accurately a trunk) for which a Japanese millionaire shelled out plenty of yen. Among its many features is a television, DVD player and coffee maker and in the fashion of the times, there's a strong green element to it too as it's all powered by a solar panel.
Although the price tag for this would be astronomical, on the same basis that what we see on the catwalks is in Top Shop the following season, look out for similar designs at more reasonably priced retailers in coming months.
For something similar, take a look at Mumbai-based Planet 3 Studios whose similar expanding workstation on wheels actually offers two desks as well as lots of storage space. The price for this appears to be around the £2,000 mark.
If you have a similar working arrangement, we'd love to see your photos of it so please do send them in so we can share them with other readers. - Alex Johnson
