Homeworking security comes to a garden near you

Garden Security

20/10/2008 send to a friend

I recently twittered about a security website that seemed a sensible online place for any garden-dwelling homeworker. My good friend Warren Cass suggested my browsing habits were dull. Little did he know. There’s nothing dull about this business that’s top in Google garden rankings and run by an impressive trio of men.

Mick makes the first move

The first note to arrive was from Security Director, Mick Gains who said:

“Read with interest your article on shedworking. Our recently launched business has much to offer in protection for the garden worker.”

Knowing that many more home business owners are starting up in the garden shed, I visited his site. It’s very impressive and comprehensive and is run from a home office ‘The White Cottage’ in Cheshire.

Spotting a photo of the three directors, I instantly felt they’d be more suitably housed as Secret Service officials in The White House as opposed to The White Cottage but I digress.

I wrote back to Mick and asked when the company was formed.

Bill steps in

Managing Director, Bill Seddon, responded.

“The company was formed in June 2006 and the web site launched in Nov 2007. Gardien Ltd was formed to complement our sister company, English Garden Antiques which was established in 1996 and introduced us, first hand, to the increase in garden crime.

Such has been the impact of our website that we are No 1 on Google and Yahoo for Garden Security and have figured prominently in several national newspapers - together with a recent appearance on BBC's The One Show.”

There you have it. Not only are these three directors (the man to the left is Keith Marsden, Operations Director) the UK’s leading garden crime-busters, they’ve also managed to get their home business ranked as number 1 on Google. This is surely a business that any homeworker can trust. And is not in the least bit dull. – Emma Jones
