Flourishing in the home office

There are three basic needs for people to flourish; social connectivity, feelings of competence in chosen tasks and a sense of autonomy. Home business owners have an abundance of the last one - mindful awareness of the first two will allow you and your business to flourish. Andy Roberts offers some tips.
Psychology says
Andy Roberts writes in to tell us about a theory of Psychology that outlines our basic needs to flourish. To meet these needs, this is what Andy recommends:
- Divide your daily to do list into doing (the daily routines of your business), striving (towards goals) and fun
- Create rituals before and after work to give you a sense of division between home and work
- Create a place in the home that is set aside for work only
- Join a trade association or community group; find bright, interesting people from all walks of life with whom you can share ideas
- Make friends with the competition and form networks.
